I'm Rae!
Forklin & Spoonette started as a high school psychology project about prejudice. I tucked it away in a time capsule, and when I rediscovered it years later, I knew I had to bring these silly utensils back to life—this time with rhymes, a spaghetti storm, and heart.I'm a first-time children's book author from Waxhaw, North Carolina. When I'm not writing, I'm cutting hair, at the farmers market with my fruit-obsessed son, gaming with my husband, or cuddling Lewis CatPawldi (yes, named after Lewis Capaldi).Little Rebel Readers is my way of showing kids that being different isn't something to fear—it's your superpower.
