About Rae Chill

Hi, I'm Rae Chill! Forklin & Spoonette has been with me for over a decade—I just didn't know it yet.

 In high school, I wrote a simple version of this story for a psychology project about prejudice and acceptance. I tucked it away in my time capsule box, and years later, when I rediscovered it, something magical happened. Those silly little utensils reminded me why I wrote their story in the first place: to show that our differences make us stronger, not weaker. 

So I brought them back to life—this time with rhymes, a spaghetti storm, and a whole lot of heart.

 I'm a first time children's book author from Waxhaw, North Carolina. When I'm not writing, you'll either find me behind the chair cutting & coloring hair, at the farmers market picking up produce with my (fruit obsessed) son, gaming with my husband, or relaxing on the couch listening to Lewis Capaldi with Lewis CatPawldi, my kitty.
